1. SOCKET CLOSED - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Last time I got a string of these disconnects I found that powering down and restarting my hub fixed it. I've also found in the past that I started getting this alot of these errors on one laptop after it's wireless card started to play up.

I can't find a definitive CCP quote to point you at but I believe from my exploration experience that as soon as you have activated a salvager/codebreaker/analyzer on a container in the site you can't leave without it very quickly despawning.

Personally I'd train one character up as the scanning + codebreaker + Salvager + Analyser alt and put him in a Buzzard and fit a cloaking device. The character can then scan down the sites, complete the profession sites and act as a scout. Then ...
